The story so far...
From Omagh, I graduated from The London College of Communication in 2012 with an MA in Screenwriting. That year my feature KING BILLY AND THE POPES reached the top 5% of The BBC Writers Room Drama call out of almost 2000 submissions and gained interest from British Director Gillies MacKinnon. In 2013 my script for a Pilot TV Detective Series got into the top 1%, while my first attempt at a radio play got into the top 5% of almost 3000 entries. In 2015 I was short-listed for The Walter Swan Trust Playwriting Competition. In 2015 I was long-listed for The Kenneth Branagh Drama Writing Award. In 2017 my first produced play CONTINUITY had a very successful short run at The Finborough Theatre garnering 4/5 star reviews including a review in The New York Times. CONTINUITY was launched online during the lock-down to critical acclaim including a four star review in The Guardian. I was a finalist in the Scenesaver Birthday Honours Awards in the ‘Best Playwright’ category. More recently my new play LEGACY was selected from over 500 submissions through the Druid Theatre New Writing Programme for a Public Reading as part of the 2023 Galway International Arts Festival. I am also delighted to have recently become 'fostered' through the prestigious 'Adopt A Playwright' Award; you can read all about those 'Adopted' & 'Fostered' here: newadopt – Off Westend Plays and Playwrights
I am currently working on a full length play entitled RECONCILIATION, which I have begun to conceive as being a possible third instalment in a ‘Troubles Trilogy’, consisting of the aforementioned CONTINUITY, LEGACY and soon RECONCILIATION.
I have also just completed a brand new play entitled SIMULACRUM and intend entering any forthcoming competitions and other opportunities in the 2025/26 period.
I am currently seeking representation.
